Good morning, health and performance enthusiasts.
A warm welcome to the 733 new members who joined freddy last week.
Week 42 brings daily summaries, account time zones, sign-ins without a time limit, a Withings sleep fix, and full records on the Personal API. There is also recent Claude connector news from the previous week.
In short
- Personal API: fetch the full record behind each metric, with the device and record id on every row.
- Daily summaries: ask your AI for daily averages, lows and highs of a metric.
- Automatic time zones: freddy follows your device's time zone, or you can pick one in Settings on the web.
- Your freddy app login no longer expires after 30 days, so your sync keeps running.
- Withings sleep: detailed sleep data now keeps updating, not just the summary.
- From last week: freddy is now an official Claude connector.
- Use case of the week: try a daily symptom scan to spot early signals that you might be run down.
Personal API: the full record behind each metric
The Personal API now returns the same detail your AI sees. Add include_raw=true to GET /api/v1/metrics to fetch the stored record behind each row, such as exercise sets, sleep stages and heart-rate streams.
Every row also carries its timestamp, device and source record id, and you can filter by device or source id. The Personal API is in beta.
Daily summaries: averages, lows, highs and your own range
Ask your AI for per-day averages, lows and highs of a metric, plus the share of readings inside a range you set. For example, give a glucose range of 70 to 180 mg/dL to see how many readings fell below, inside and above it. Weekly and monthly summaries work the same way.
Automatic time zones
freddy now follows your device's time zone automatically, so your data is grouped into the right days. To keep a particular zone, pick one in Settings on the web.
If you chose a time zone yourself, freddy asks before replacing it with a different detected zone.
Your AI can see the account time zone and where it came from, so a daily view has that context.
Your app login no longer expires
Sign-ins used to end after 30 days, which signed you out of the app and stopped your sync until you signed in again. A sign-in now lasts until you sign out or revoke it in Connected devices, so your sync keeps running.
On the web, signing in again in another tab also no longer lets an older request sign you out of the new session.
Withings sleep: detailed data keeps updating
Detailed Withings sleep data could stop updating after the first connection, even while sleep summaries kept arriving. New sleep updates now fetch both.
This fix is live for existing connections. There is no new setting to enable.
From last week: freddy is an official Claude connector
freddy is now an official Claude connector. Connect your freddy account once, then ask Claude about your health and performance data in any conversation.
If you already use freddy with another AI client, use the same freddy account. Your connected sources and stored health history stay with that account.
Use case of the week: try a daily symptom scan
Each morning, ask your AI to scan last night and the past few days of your wearable data for early signals that you might be getting sick or run down, then suggest whether to take it easy.
Depending on your devices, freddy can share resting heart rate, HRV, sleep, skin or body temperature and respiratory rate. Comparing them with your own baseline shows what is unusual for you. Try:
Use freddy to compare last night and the past three days with my 30-day baseline. Flag changes in resting heart rate, HRV, sleep, temperature and respiratory rate, note any missing data, and tell me whether to take it easy today.
