Cursor is the AI code editor. Once freddy is added, you can ask things like “show me the last five workouts” or “how did I sleep this week” without leaving your editor. Cursor handles the OAuth sign-in itself, so there is nothing to paste.
Before you start
You need a freddy account, at least one connected source, and Cursor installed. See Choose and connect a data source.
1. Add freddy to your MCP config
Open ~/.cursor/mcp.json for all projects, or .cursor/mcp.json inside one project. Add:

}If the file already has an mcpServers block, add the freddy entry inside it. The URL is the same for every freddy account and contains no personal token.
2. Sign in
Cursor shows freddy on its Customize page. Open freddy there and sign in when Cursor asks. freddy's authorization page opens in your browser. Sign in with your freddy email code if needed, review any required Terms, Privacy and Consumer Health Data consent, and approve. Cursor registers itself with freddy, so you do not enter a client ID or secret.
3. Ask about your data
Open Agent chat and ask: “What data is available in my freddy account?” Then try “How did I sleep last night?”
Cursor Cloud Agents
Cloud Agents keep their own MCP sign-ins on Cursor's servers, separate from the sign-ins on your machine. Signing out on your machine does not sign out a Cloud Agent. To sign out there, open Customize and log out on freddy's Cloud row.
Manage access
Remove the freddy entry from your config to disconnect. You can also revoke Cursor's OAuth grant in freddy under Connected AI.
If setup does not work
Check that the URL is exactly https://freddy.coach/mcp. In Cursor, open Output and choose MCP Logs to see what happened. If freddy shows as signed out, sign in again from the Customize page. Do not paste an API key into the config when OAuth works. If it still fails, see agent troubleshooting or contact freddy support with the error text, without sending a code or token.
